Westwood Baptist Church

Dr. Deas  has been serving as Westwood's pastor since 1993.  A graduate of Luther Rice Seminary, Dr. Deas has a bachelor of ministry, a master of divinity and a doctor of ministry degree.  He has served as a conference leader for the Florida Baptist Convention at Lake Yale and Blue Springs assemblies and the Baptist Sunday School Board at Ridgecrest.  He has served two terms as a commissioner of the Florida Baptist Witness, first vice-president of the Florida Baptist Convention, parliamentarian for the Florida Baptist Convention and a trustee of the Baptist College of Florida.  He is the chaplain for the Live Oak Police Department.

 Dr. Deas and his wife Sherry have two daughters, Heather Bowen, and Traci Touchton, and three grandchildren.
